Mood: Pissed Off
At today's karate seminar, I got a pretty strict talking-to from Sensei Glenn about my language (I said, in passing and in jest to Sensei Derrick to piss off after he kept restarting my situp count) and how parents were complaining about how I've been treating their kids. The swearing I can understand on my part. That was a mistake. But the treating of the children is an entirely different story, and these parents are not exactly faultless, either. I'm actually very sure I can name those parents. Well. Not so much name, but point them out and say 'yeah, it's that person right there', because I refuse to spend my time getting to know these people. Monday nights are never given to these complaints as Sensei Michael has not said a word to either Sensei or myself about the matter due to the fact the Monday students are actually well-behaved; it's Thursday nights, and more specifically a small group of parents who are actually all related to Sensei Michael as far as I can see. These parents... while I would not presume to go so far as to say they've raised their children incorrectly, I will say that they do need to either be stricter with their children or that they need to set a better example for them to follow. I've heard these kids curse up a blue streak in the dojo and not get a talking-to. I've heard these parents cursing in the dojo without repercussion. One of the mothers I'm referring to went so far as to say when I asked a few of these kids to do kata with me before class, and I quote directly, 'you don't have to listen to him, he's not the boss'. Newsflash. I am the boss. Being a sempai means exactly that - I am an instructor in my own right. These kids would never go against Sensei Derrick. They mess around in class a lot, but when Sensei Derrick says something, they do it. Is it because he's family? Is it because he's in charge? I don't know - they seem to have a problem with authority. They, as a result of hearing their parents say it, are repeating the trend of disrespect; not being quite sure of the relation here, but I believe she's the daughter of the one I mentioned just now, said the same thing as her mother(?). One, after swearing a few times, I told to go to Sensei Derrick and repeat what he had said to me. When he came back, he told me that his mother and his aunt had told me to get fucked. Get fucked. What is this? I have to endure this kind of abuse, and yet, I am expected to remain quiet, smile and pretend nothing ever happened. This is far too unfair. If Sensei Derrick receives these complaints and does not tell me, opting instead to go to Sensei Glenn, then I shall speak to both of them in private and express my own complaints. I deserve a modicum of respect that I have certainly not been receiving, and I don't particularly think I should stand for it, especially as someone who will be teaching their children. One of the older students and I were talking about the matter, and she said something that rung true - I am a student teacher. I am learning the things necessary to become a sensei, but do not yet have a full qualification, and am still a student myself. School students are told to and are expected to show respect, even out of class, to a student teacher. My situation is no different. I believe the parents need just as much a talking-to as I have received. A story is never one-sided, after all.

Parents should know better than to undermine the authority of other adults. Any damn one of them would be pissed if anybody undermined them publicly
when it came to their kids. Furthermore, if they want their kids to get a decent instruction (and I'm assuming they are paying for this), it might
behoove them to create an atmosphere where the teacher can do his damn job.
Sorry 'bout all this, man. I would talk to the other folk with authoritah, try and explain the problems these parents are creating.

It's finally starting to occur to me. I have never been employed, I have not finished any specialized training other than graduating high school, I have no car licence, and I have no direction in life. This must be rectified, but I don't have the drive to. iunno. x_o I'm detached, clearly - I can see the problem but most of me doesn't want to fix it.

So I had a dream last night as to how Chaos Theory's plotline went. I think this is because I want CT's plotline to actually move, and it was a kinda cool dream anyhow. It starts off in the Imperial Palace on bastion where Velori's summoned the High Council - the Grand Moffs, the highest-ranked Inquisitors, Generals and Admirals. She alone represents the Sith. Immediately she tells them of a plan to strike at Coruscant with the last remaining Chaos Star, to rip the beating heart bodily from the New Republic. Most of her generals and such protest loudly, saying it's too audacious. However, Velori insists they have the means to do it with a lightning two-phase attack - send in the main fleet first, then the Chaos Star and escorts last to allow the battlestation to mop up the rest. Eventually they agree and the Imperial warfleet readies for battle. The Blood Knight fleet and the Doom Rider fleet of the Empire appear directly over Coruscant a few days later, pouring a massive torrent of fire onto each and every warship they can find. With multiple New Republic fleets in the area, it becomes a pitched, all-out battle to the death; ships exploding left and right and whatnot. The Sith make their way down to the planet heading legions of stormtroopers, breaking through the planetary shield and killing Republic soldiers en masse-- notably, they don't kill civilians were possible. As the New Republic fleet starts to turn the tide five minutes into the battle, the Chaos Star and the Dark Witch fleet make their appearance - and immediately sink the New Republic Viscount-class with one of its superlasers, removing the biggest threat to the Empire. Velori decides to do something audacious and, from the bridge of the Executor, sends the massive hulk crashing down to the planet's largest Republic military installation. Taking a shuttle down to the surface, she follows the wake of destruction and summons the Sith to her in order to storm the Jedi Temple. A massive pitched battle ensues. Jedi and Sith fight all over the Temple; with that as a distraction, Velori heads to the Grand Council Chambers. There, she find Rach Sullen; the two exchange a few words: "Bitch." "Skank." "Whore." "Strumpet." And then they start fighting, a lightsaber duel to the death complete with Force powers abound; Force lightning and telekinesis of Council chairs being thrown around the room result in the chamber crashing down around them. Eventually, Velori gets the upper hand thanks to a sustained barrage of Force Lightning and forces Rach against her Council chair, her lightsaber pressed to Rach's neck and two fingers over her heart, saying "If you so much as twitch, I will make your brain stop telling your heart to beat. You will die." With that, she summons a Sith to bring her a Force-nullification collar and takes Rach away. With that, and the massive destruction of both fleets, Velori calls an end to the battle. Now with no equal to stop her on that planet, she brings a decisive end to the war and takes Coruscant for herself - establishing the Galactic Empire as the ruling body throughout the Galaxy by decapitating the New Republic. After her rule is established, she offers the Jedi Order a chance to live: go to Ossus and stay there, or die. She even gives them some terraforming gear to help them establish their base of operations and such. They can only leave the planet without their lightsabers because that's a sign of aggression, silly Jedi. She also establishes the Imperial Mission to help any planets that were devastated by the war, proving she actually does do nice things because there's more people than her in the Galaxy. She also, in counterpoint to the Sith, establishes the Imperial Knights as an Empire-sanctioned Light Side group so she has a legitimate army of Force-users to kick some bitch arse. In the end, it is revealed the war was for a single purpose: To allow the research of the Dark Side to be free and open in the Galaxy, not hunted by the Jedi - giving her time to finish her research into the secrets of eternal life. Oh, she's a tricksy woman, that Velori. Everyone died for her own benefit, yay!
